2011: Started in the circle pitching a complete game in Detroit's first game of the season against Bryant (Mar. 6) with eight strikeouts allowing just two runs... Began her college career with hits in her first four games and hits in eight of 10 Rebel Games contests... Helped Detroit to first win on the season over Indiana State (Mar. 6) with a two-RBI single in the top of the third inning... First collegiate home run came against Lafayette (Mar. 12) with a three-run home run in the sixth in a 5-1 Titan win...It was her first ever three-RBI game... Her first multi-hit game came in the opening game at Wayne State (Mar. 31) with a 2-4 performance... Went 1-2 with two walks against Eastern Michigan (Mar. 29) including a two-run home run in the third inning... Finished the year topping all Titans with six home runs and 20 RBI and second on the team with a .286 average... In Horizon League games, hit a team-best .309 (17-55) in 20 games.

Prior to Detroit: A four-year varsity softball player from Normal Community West High School where she played for former All-American second baseman April Schermann (Illinois State University)... Was the Pantagraph All-Area Hits Leader in 2008 while helping her 2010 squad to a 33-1 record including a Big 12 Conference and a Regional Championship... Earned All-State second team honors as a senior and third team recognition as a junior in 2009 from the Illinois Coaches Association... Named to the Big 12 All-Conference First Team in 2008, 2009, and 2010 while receiving Honorable Mention status in 2007... In addition to softball, earned three letters playing volleyball.

Personal: Daughter of Cliff and Yvette... Has two brothers, Trevor and Tyler... Born in Bloomington, IL... Major is pre-dental hygiene... Served as freshman peer mentor and also on the yearbook staff... Volunteered at the Children's Museum and Humane Society... Was named the Prom Queen... Enjoys photography, digital media, and culinary cooking... Her biggest thrill was when she had the opportunity to meet USA Softball Olympic Medalist Jessica Mendoza.
