2015: All-Horizon League First Team as she had a break through season… Ran in all seven races and led the team in four of them, while scoring in all seven… Posted a career-best 6k time of 22:32 for first-team accolades at the Horizon League Championship… Her time was also nearly two minutes faster than her previous 6k career run… Led the Titans at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship with a time of 23:21 for 139th, a 1:28 faster than her previous GLR run of 24:40 in 2013… Earned a 5k career-best 19:00 for 61st at the Greater Louisville Classic, the third best time by a Titan at Louisville in school history… Claimed eighth at the Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational with a 19:15 run… Placed 100th at the National Catholic Championship clocking a 19:28… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2014: Ran in six races on the year, missing only the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship due to injury… Started the season placing 18th at the Golden Grizzly Open in 15:48… Took 42nd at the 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational in 20:17… Posted her season best 5k time of 20:00 for 80th at the National Catholic Championship… Registered a 24:27 for 55th at the Horizon League Championship… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2013: Ran in all seven races as a rookie… Scored in five of her appearances… Went under 20 for the only time on the year at Notre Dame’s National Catholic Championship, tallying a 19:48 for 68th… Ran 21:00 for 34th at the 27th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational… Was 54th at the Horizon League Championship clocking a time of 20:39… Ran 24:49 for 207th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships…Earned a place on the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
High School: Earned letters in cross country, track and field, soccer and basketball at Algonac High School… A top signee for both the cross country and track team, but is coming off a senior campaign that saw her miss the cross country season due to an injury... As a junior, she won the Port Huron Invitational, BWAC Jamboree 1 and Marysville Invitational and broke the 20-minute barrier in the 5k on a few occasions... Earned All-State as a senior in track anchoring the 4x400-meter relay to a fourth-place finish at the Division 2 Championships and as a junior helping her team to a runner-up effort while qualifying for the 4x200m and the 300-meter hurdles... Also All-State in the 100-hurdles as a junior taking fourth and All-State in the 300-hurdles as a sophomore finishing in third… Named All-League and All-Conference in each of her last three years… A three-time Academic All-State selection.
Personal: Daughter of Cherlynn Billete and Richard Zakalowski... Has three older siblings… A Nursing major.
