Final Results
After starting the rain-swept final day in sixth place and making a quick charge up the leader board, the Titan men's golfers finished up fifth Tuesday at the Cleveland State Invitational.
The Titans opened the tournament on Monday with team scores of 296 and 293, and stood one-over par as a team through nine holes before the course became unplayable Tuesday due to heavy rain. During an hour delay, the Titans lost their magic and slipped back into fifth place after a final-round 302. The top Titan was junior David Byrne, who posted rounds of 71 and 73 on Monday and a 76 on Tuesday for an eighth-place 220 total.
Sophomore Jeff Clarridge ended up next in line for the Titans individually, with a 77-73-74-224 card for 54 holes. Classmate Britt Pronk was right behind at 73-71-82-226.
The Titans are now idle until Oct. 20-21, when they close out their fall schedule at the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
