SERIES RECORD
Detroit owns a 30-6 advantage in the overall series with Cleveland State, including a 16-1 mark when playing on the Titans home court. Last season these two teams split as CSU won the first meeting by a score of 63-41 in Cleveland on Jan. 17 and UDM went on to claim a 68-57 victory at home (Feb. 16) against the eventual 2008 Horizon League Tournament Champion.
ABOUT CLEVELAND STATE
The Vikings head into Thursday's match-up with a 9-8 overall record and a 3-2 mark in Horizon League action. CSU has won its past two games, including an 80-51 victory at Youngstown State on Jan. 17. Junior guard Kailey Klein leads the Vikings with 17.8 points per game, which is also second-best among conference peers, while senior forward Dominique Butler is averaging a team-best 7.6 rebounds per contest.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Senior
Sandi Brown tallied her second double-double of the season on Jan. 17 as she poured in a team-high 17 points and grabbed a team-best 10 boards. Brown's first double-double of the year came on Jan. 3 at Loyola with 12 points and 11 caroms. This marks the fourth time this season in which a Titan has accomplished this feat.

Two Titans have started every game for Detroit this season in junior
Brigid Mulroy and freshman
Jalesa Jones. Mulroy is averaging a team second-best 11.1 points per game, while Jones has tallied a team-high 60 assists through 17 games.
LAST TIME OUT
The Detroit Titans women's basketball team dropped a 75-57 decision to Milwaukee in a Horizon League match-up at the Klotsche Center in Wisconsin on Jan. 17.
Senior
Sandi Brown scored 13 of Detroit's 23 first half points and ended the afternoon with her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 caroms. UDM's only lead in the opening stanza was a 2-0 advantage after a made lay-up from Brown three seconds into the game. Milwaukee's first six baskets of the contest were all 3-pointers and the Panthers stretched their lead to 19 at the 2:40 mark after junior Jodie McClain drained one of Milwaukee's nine treys of the first half. Brown went on a 7-0 scoring run of her own in the closing minutes, but the Panthers took a 37-23 advantage with them into the break.
Milwaukee was up by 20 with just under 10 minutes remaining (59-39), but Detroit answered with a 7-0 scoring run, with redshirt freshman
Talicia Washington contributing five of those points. The closest Detroit would get to the Panthers the rest of the game was 12 points, with the last happening after freshman
Jalesa Jones hit a midrange jumper at 2:39 to put the score at 65-53.
Junior
Chanica Hall dished out a team-high seven assists to match her personal-best, while Washington scored in double figures for the third time this season with 11 points.
McClain netted a game-high 20 points, while UWM sophomore Lindsay Laur came off the bench to collect a double-double with 10 points and a game-best 11 rebounds.
Detroit shot 38 percent on the night (24-of-63), while Milwaukee had a 27-of-61 showing from the field (44 percent).
WHERE ARE THE TITANS?
As of Jan. 20, senior
Sandi Brown is ninth among conference peers in scoring average (12.1 ppg), while junior
Brigid Mulroy stands at 15th (11.1 ppg). In addition, Brown is eighth in rebounding (6.1 rpg), while Mulroy is seventh in 3-point FG percentage (.389) and third in 3-pointers made (2.2). Freshman
Jalesa Jones is fifth with 3.5 assists per contest.
COLLECTING CAROMS
The Titans outrebounded their opponent for the sixth time this season as Detroit had a 32-28 advantage on the boards at Green Bay on Jan. 15.
ALMOST PERFECT
Detroit was one shy of having a perfect showing at the free throw line at Green Bay on Jan. 15 as the Titans made 8-of-9 attempts.

OVERTIME AT CALIHAN
Detroit's overtime game against Valparaiso on Jan. 10 marked the first time the Titans played an extra session at Calihan Hall since a 74-73 setback against Milwaukee on Jan. 27, 2005.
ANOTHER FIRST
In her first Horizon League game at the helm of the Detroit Titans women's basketball program, head coach Autumn Rademacher notched a 71-64 win at Loyola on Jan. 3.

GIVING TO CHARITY
The Titans made a season-high 22 free throws against Loyola on Jan. 3 and ended with a 67 percent showing from the line. In the final 34 seconds against the Ramblers, Detroit made seven of eight free throw attempts to help secure its first Horizon League victory of the season.
TWO EXTRA SESSIONS
Prior to Detroit's 76-75 double-overtime win at Eastern on Dec. 20, 2008, the last time the Titans played in a double overtime contest was a 107-102 setback to Kentucky on Dec. 28, 1983 in Detroit.
PLENTY OF POINTS
The 76 point showing at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 20 marks the most points the Titans have scored in a single game since a 78-65 victory against Wright State in Detroit on Feb. 19, 2004.
VS. RANKED TEAMS
The Detroit Titans made history on Nov. 22 as UDM defeated #23 Georgia by a score of 70-66 at Calihan Hall. This marked the first time since the conference changed its name to the Horizon League (2001-02) in which the Titans defeated a ranked opponent. UDM now owns a 1-11 mark in this category.
GOING BACK IN TIME
Detroit's win over Southeastern Conference member school, Georgia, was the first win against an SEC school since Nov. 23, 1979 when the Titans defeated Louisiana State by a score of 84-76 in Detroit. Prior to Saturday's victory, the Titans had lost 13 straight to SEC schools.
COACHING DEBUT AT HOME
Autumn Rademacher coached her first game for the Titans on UDM's home court against #23 Georgia and Detroit came out on the winning end, 70-66. Since the start of UDM women's basketball (1977-78), Rademacher and the eight full-time head coaches prior, now own a collective 4-5 record in their coaching debut on Detroit's home court.
DETROIT INKS THREE
UDM head coach Autumn Rademacher announced that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titans, beginning with the 2009-10 season. The signees are: Demeisha Fambro (G, 5-9, Detroit, MI/Crockett Tech), Kassandra Hooten (F, 6-0, Moorhead, MN/Moorhead) and Cherridy Thornton (F, 6-1, Detroit, MI/Frank Cody Senior).
FINAL FOUR IN DETROIT
The University of Detroit Mercy will serve as the host institution for the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four, which will be held on April 4 & 6, 2009 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
