SERIES RECORD
Detroit owns a 10-12 overall record against Youngstown State and the Titans have an 8-3 advantage when facing the Penguins in Detroit. YSU has won the past five meetings, which includes a 65-54 victory in the first round of the Horizon League Championship last season on March 10 in Ohio. The last time UDM defeated YSU was on Jan. 21, 2006 by a score of 69-62 at Calihan Hall.
ABOUT YOUNGSTOWN STATE
The Penguins head into Saturday's match-up with a 2-15 overall record and a 0-6 mark in league play. Most recently, YSU dropped a 72-41 decision at Wright State on Jan. 22. The last time the Penguins won was on Dec. 20 at home against Akron (58-52) and the first victory of the year came at the Pitt Thanksgiving Tournament against Weber State by a score of 67-60 on Nov. 28. Nikita LaFleur averages a team-best 9.7 points per game, as well as 8.6 rebounds per contest.
ON THIS DATE
Since the start of Detroit women's basketball (1977-78), the Titans own a 7-3 overall mark when playing on Jan. 24 and are 6-1 when those contests have occurred in Detroit. Last time UDM played on this date was last year and the Titans dropped a 72-60 decision at home against Butler. In 2004, Detroit claimed a 56-50 overtime victory against visiting Green Bay to mark the last win on this date at home for UDM.

Jaleesa Trussell came off the bench to score a team second-best nine points and add one assist, along with one steal and two rebounds in 17 minutes of play against Cleveland State on Jan. 22.

Sandi Brown has led the Titans in scoring for the past six games, including a 17 point showing against Cleveland State on Jan. 22. In total, Brown has scored a team-high in nine of UDM's 18 games this season.

Two Titans have started every game for Detroit this season in junior
Brigid Mulroy and freshman
Jalesa Jones. Mulroy is averaging a team second-best 10.8 points per game, while Jones has tallied a team-high 61 assists through 18 games.
LAST TIME OUT
The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dropped a 70-55 decision to Cleveland State in a Horizon League match-up Thursday evening at Calihan Hall.

Sandi Brown contributed seven points during this run, which included one from beyond the arc. With just under a minute remaining, CSU junior Kailey Klein drained a 3-pointer to give the Vikings a 35-22 advantage for its largest lead of the half and the Vikings went into the break ahead of UDM, 35-23.
The Titans scored nine unanswered points to open up the second stanza to pull within three (35-32) after redshirt freshman
Talicia Washington scored a 2-pointer off a pass from Mulroy. That was the closest Detroit would get to the Vikings the remainder of the game and CSU had its largest lead of the contest at 4:07 after Klein converted a 3-point play (65-49).
Brown led the Titans in scoring for the sixth straight game as she poured in 17 points and also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Detroit freshman
Jaleesa Trussell (Racine, WI/Case) came off the bench to score a team second-best nine points, while Washington grabbed a team second-best six rebounds.
Five Vikings scored in double figures with Klein leading the way with a game-high 21 points, while teammate junior Stephanie Crosley collected a game-best 12 caroms.
The Titans shot 19-of-50 from the field (38 percent), while the Vikings had a 45 percent showing on the evening (25-of-56). CSU had a 39-26 advantage on the boards and UDM tallied 12 steals to the Vikings' eight.
WHERE ARE THE TITANS?
Prior to the game on Jan. 23, senior
Sandi Brown was sixth among conference peers in scoring average (12.4 ppg), while junior
Brigid Mulroy stood at 17th (10.8 ppg). In addition, Brown was eighth in rebounding (6.2 rpg), while Mulroy was ninth in 3-point FG percentage (.392) and third in 3-pointers made (2.1). Freshman
Jalesa Jones was fifth with 3.4 assists per contest.
DOUBLEHEADER TIMES TWO
Saturday marks the second consecutive doubleheader for Detroit basketball as the men's team played UIC following the women's match-up against Cleveland State on Jan. 22 and the men's squad will host to Loyola at 2 p.m. on Homecoming Saturday.
DOUBLE TROUBLE

Sandi Brown tallied her second double-double of the season on Jan. 17 as she poured in a team-high 17 points and grabbed a team-best 10 boards. Brown's first double-double of the year came on Jan. 3 at Loyola with 12 points and 11 caroms. This marks the fourth time this season in which a Titan has accomplished this feat.

Chanica Hall tied her personal-best of seven helpers at Milwaukee on Jan. 17.
COLLECTING CAROMS
The Titans outrebounded their opponent for the sixth time this season as Detroit had a 32-28 advantage on the boards at Green Bay on Jan. 15.
ALMOST PERFECT
Detroit was one shy of having a perfect showing at the free throw line at Green Bay on Jan. 15 as the Titans made 8-of-9 attempts.
DOUBLE TIMES FOUR
On Jan. 10, for the second time this season, Detroit had four players score in double figures in a single game. Senior

OVERTIME AT CALIHAN
Detroit's overtime game against Valparaiso on Jan. 10 marked the first time the Titans played an extra session at Calihan Hall since a 74-73 setback against Milwaukee on Jan. 27, 2005.
ANOTHER FIRST
In her first Horizon League game at the helm of the Detroit Titans women's basketball program, head coach Autumn Rademacher notched a 71-64 win at Loyola on Jan. 3.
DOUBLE OR NOTHING
Two Titans registered double-doubles against Loyola on Jan. 3 in redshirt freshman

GIVING TO CHARITY
The Titans made a season-high 22 free throws against Loyola on Jan. 3 and ended with a 67 percent showing from the line. In the final 34 seconds against the Ramblers, Detroit made seven of eight free throw attempts to help secure its first Horizon League victory of the season.
TWO EXTRA SESSIONS
Prior to Detroit's 76-75 double-overtime win at Eastern on Dec. 20, 2008, the last time the Titans played in a double overtime contest was a 107-102 setback to Kentucky on Dec. 28, 1983 in Detroit.
PLENTY OF POINTS
The 76 point showing at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 20 marks the most points the Titans have scored in a single game since a 78-65 victory against Wright State in Detroit on Feb. 19, 2004.
VS. RANKED TEAMS
The Detroit Titans made history on Nov. 22 as UDM defeated #23 Georgia by a score of 70-66 at Calihan Hall. This marked the first time since the conference changed its name to the Horizon League (2001-02) in which the Titans defeated a ranked opponent. UDM now owns a 1-11 mark in this category.
GOING BACK IN TIME
Detroit's win over Southeastern Conference member school, Georgia, was the first win against an SEC school since Nov. 23, 1979 when the Titans defeated Louisiana State by a score of 84-76 in Detroit. Prior to Saturday's victory, the Titans had lost 13 straight to SEC schools.
COACHING DEBUT AT HOME
Autumn Rademacher coached her first game for the Titans on UDM's home court against #23 Georgia and Detroit came out on the winning end, 70-66. Since the start of UDM women's basketball (1977-78), Rademacher and the eight full-time head coaches prior, now own a collective 4-5 record in their coaching debut on Detroit's home court.
DETROIT INKS THREE
UDM head coach Autumn Rademacher announced that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Titans, beginning with the 2009-10 season. The signees are: Demeisha Fambro (G, 5-9, Detroit, MI/Crockett Tech), Kassandra Hooten (F, 6-0, Moorhead, MN/Moorhead) and Cherridy Thornton (F, 6-1, Detroit, MI/Frank Cody Senior).
FINAL FOUR IN DETROIT
The University of Detroit Mercy will serve as the host institution for the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four, which will be held on April 4 & 6, 2009 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
