Women's Lacrosse to Host Fresno State and Presbyterian This Weekend

The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team (2-5) returns to Titan Field for its next two games as UDM will host Fresno State on Friday at 4 p.m. and then faces Presbyterian the following day at 1 p.m.

Freshman Emily Boissonneault (Brooklin, ON/Donald A. Wilson) leads the Titans in scoring with 26 goals, eight of which came this past weekend. Bossinneault tied for a game-high four goals in Detroit's 11-8 win at Central Connecticut State on March 18 and then collected a game-best four goals at Quinnipiac two days later. Freshman Anna Eidem (Champlin, MN/Totino-Grace) has collected a team second-best 15 goals, while freshman Corina Mahorn (Whitby, ON/Anderson CVI) has also tallied double figure goals through seven games with 11.

Fresno State (0-6) is led by seniors Aja Scheuber and Molly Sovacool who have each scored two goals for the Bulldogs. The last time FSU took the field, the Bulldogs fell by a score of 18-3 at Cincinnati on March 25.

Presbyterian heads into Saturday's match-up with a 1-8 overall record with its lone win coming at home against Central Connecticut State on Feb. 27 by a score of 17-16. Junior Jenna Handshoe leads the Blue Hose with 18 goals, while junior Brittini Dulaney has tallied a team second-best 20 points.

In addition to Detroit's two games this weekend, Titan Field will be the site of a Fresno State/Presbyterian match-up on Sunday at 11 a.m.
