BEALLSVILLE, Md. – The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team wrapped up its fall competition on Tuesday as the Titans took ninth at the 26th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate, held at the Members Club at Four Streams.
The Titans totaled an 872 (295, 279, 298) finishing ahead of the host Hoyas, the defending BIG EAST champions, and just six strokes out of fifth place. The field included five top 100 programs, including No. 25 Campbell who won the tournament with an 847.
Junior 
Mark Hicks (Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON/Niagara) was the lone Titan in the top 20 as he claimed a share of 19th with a 217 (69, 72, 76). Hicks provided one of the highlights of the tournament tallying a double eagle on a par 5 on the first day of action. 
Senior 
Britt Pronk (London, ON/St. Thomas Aquinas) carded a 218 (76, 67, 75) to tie for 23rd, while sophomore 
Simon Reyers (Kingston, ON/Holy Cross) posted the best score for the red, white and blue in round three with a 1-over 72, giving him a 221 (80, 69, 72) total and 32nd place. 
Detroit will now get ready for the spring season and the opportunity to defend its Horizon League title.
