A 10-point come from behind victory was the headline the last time these two teams met and now the Detroit Titans will go for the season sweep when UDM travels to Valparaiso on Saturday at the Athletics-Recreation Center (ARC). Game time is set for 2:00 p.m., and the contest is part of the Horizon League Network Game of the Week television package.
Will Haskett will have the play by play and Damon Lewis will be on the color. For fans in the Detroit area, you can watch the game with the ESPN Full Court package, available on most cable outlets. Titan fans with DIRECTV and the added “Sports Pack” can also view the game on SportsTime Ohio (662) and Comcast SportsNet Chicago (665). As with all Horizon League games, the contest will be web streamed live on the Horizon League Network and CSTV's gametracker will provide updated stats.
Detroit stands at 14-9 on the season and 7-5 in the Horizon League following Thursday's 63-58 setback at No. 23/15 Butler. Sophomore
Chase Simon led the team in scoring for the seven-straight game with 15 points against the Bulldogs, while the defense did their part forcing 21 BU turnovers.
Valparaiso is 11-13 and 6-6 in the conference after dropping its HL game at home on Thursday, 75-71, to Wright State. The Crusaders have won five of their last seven games and are 6-2 at home this season. Valpo is the highest scoring team in the league at 72.2 points per game, but VU is also last in the conference in scoring defense giving up 72.8 ppg.
DETROIT VS. VALPARAISO
Despite being just four hours apart from each other, UDM and Valparaiso have met just 11 times, with the Titans now ahead in the all-time series, 6-5, thanks to their 77-67 victory earlier in the year.
The Crusaders have won the last two in Valparaiso, with the Titans last victory on Feb. 14 1991, a 79-68 triumph. Overall, Detroit is 2-2 all time on the road against VU.
KEELING SETTING UP HIS FRIENDS

Xavier Keeling had a career-high five assists at Butler his last time out. At 6-7 and 235lb, Keeling has the ability to handle the ball for a big man and is second on the team in assists at 2.7 per game.
FORCING BUTLER MISTAKES
Detroit forced the usual sure-handed Butler Bulldogs into 21 turnovers its last time out, turning those miscues into 22 points.
Coming into the game, Butler was averaging just 11.1 turnovers per game.
TK GETTING BACK IN RHYTHM

Thomas Kennedy was held scoreless for the first time in his career against Wright State on Jan. 23.
Since that time, Kennedy has scored in double figures in three straight games (14 vs. Loyola, 11 vs. UIC and 12 at Butler).
UDM VS. THE STATE OF INDIANA
Detroit has not fared well with teams from the Hoosier State. The Titans are 36-94 all-time against schools from Indiana.
