Sophomore Emily Boissonneault (Brooklin, ON/Donald A. Wilson) had five goals and freshman goalkeeper Marybeth Flanagan (Lansing, MI/Waverly) made 15 saves, but a second half run by visiting Le Moyne was the difference as the Titans dropped a 15-9 decision on a windy Friday afternoon.

The game was the start of a weekend long women's lacrosse extravaganza with raffles and donations being collected to benefit the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. Not only that, the teal T-shirts worn by the Detroit women's lacrosse players and coaches on the day and throughout the weekend will be available for order by all fans at the entrance to Titan Field.

For Boissonneault, it marked the second straight year she has tallied 50+ goals as she now has an even 50 on the season. She also had a team-high five groundballs as well as four caused turnovers.

Also finding the back of the net on the day were four other Titans in sophomore Anna Eidem (Champlin, MN/Totino-Grace) and freshmen Zaynib Hamze (Dublin, CA/Dublin), Madison Noland and Lindsey Saunders (Pasadena, MD/Northeast), with Hamze adding four GB's and four caused miscues.

Boissonneault opened the scoring for Detroit (6-9) tying the score at 1-1 a little more than two minutes into the game. After two goals from Le Moyne (8-5), UDM cut it to one at the 20:50 mark after Noland's marker and again with 13:32 left as Boissonneault beat the keeper to put the score at 4-3.

The Dolphins tried pulling away with three straight goals, but Saunders and Boissonneault both tallied as the half was ending to get the red, white and blue within two, 7-5.

The game got away from Detroit in the second half as Le Moyne opened the second stanza with four straight scores and six of the next seven goals to take a 13-6 lead with 13:50 left in the game en route to the non-conference win.
