Six Titans Named To IWLCA Honor Roll, UDM Claims Team Academic Accolade

DETROIT (7/22/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team saw six Titans individually honored, as well as the entire program for one of the best GPA's in the nation, by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Wednesday.

The IWLCA named 357 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

UDM registered a 3.43 team GPA this past season as the red, white and blue recorded the academic accolade for the 16th time in their 18-year history, missing only the inaugural campaign of 2009 and the pandemic season of 2020.

The Titans also saw graduate seniors Ashley Bates, Emma Boorman, and Vanessa Evans, seniors Alyssa Jarvis and Jane Peck, and junior Ashleigh Dixon selected to the honor roll.

In total, 1,212 student-athletes from 122 different institutions were selected to the 2025-26 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
