Two Titan student-athletes took time out of their summer schedule for a community service project as Mike Chiandussi (Windsor, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova) from the men's soccer team and Kristie Ferrans (Carleton, MI/Monroe) of the women's cross country and track and field program were on hand for the Horizon League's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's (SAAC) meeting in Indianapolis.

The Titans joined 11 other members of the HL's SAAC for a service project at Forest Manor, a community-based social service organization located on the near eastside of Indianapolis. The committee interacted with the children in such fun activities as reading at the library, relay races and playing kick ball.

The project was part of the league's SAAC meetings which gave those in attendance insightful breakout sessions on financial advice, resume building, interview preparation, networking, and personal branding. They were also provided the opportunity to give feedback to the Horizon League on a wide range of issues.
