Final Results
The UDM men's golf team posted its second straight top five finish in the fall as the Titans wrapped up play at the John Dallio memorial.
The Titans shot a 308 in the final round for a 54-hole total of 901, finishing ahead of such schools as Horizon League foe Loyola, local rival Oakland, host DePaul and South Florida. IUPUI won the event with an 890, while Florida Gulf Coast was second with an 892.
Senior
Britt Pronk (London, ON/St. Thomas Aquinas) kept up his great campaign as he shared fourth with a 3-over 219 (72, 73, 74), just one stroke out of second and five behind the leader. Pronk nailed 12 birdies on the weekend and really took advantage of the Par-5's on the course sporting a tournament-best 8-under on the four holes, which included an eagle in the first round on hole 13.
Fellow senior
Jeff Clarridge (Barrie, ON/Bear Creek) and freshman
Brendan Leonard (Cambridge, ON/St. Benedict) tied for 24th with a 229, while sophomore
Simon Reyers (Kingston, ON/Holy Cross) claimed 33rd after carding a 231. Freshman
Kyle Benford (Amherstview, ON/Holy Cross) was just behind Reyers tying for 37th with a 232.
The Titan golfers will have a short week of rest before hitting the links next weekend as the squad travels to Normal, IL for the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate. The event, hosted by Illinois State, will begin on Saturday at the Weibring Golf Club.
