KETTERING, Ohio -- Thanks to an even-par performance in the final round, freshman Lucas Kim (Toronto, ON/Silverthorn) led the way for Detroit as the Titans ended the fall season with an 11th-place effort at the Dayton Flyer Invitational.

UDM improved its first-round card by six strokes with a 306, ending with a 36-hole total of 618. The Titans finished higher than a pair of Horizon League schools in Valparaiso and Youngstown State. IUPUI and Dayton tied for first with a 585, but it was the Jaguars who won the team championship in a playoff.

Kim began the day tied for 33rd, but quickly moved up the board with his 71, tying for 13th with a 148 (77, 71). He led the field with 27 pars in the event, and his round of even par was tied for the third-best 18-hole score in the tournament.

Junior Simon Reyers (Kingston, ON/Holy Cross) shared 23rd after shooting a 149 (72, 77), while senior Mark Hicks (Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON/Niagara) battled through an injury to card a 78, tying for 61st with a 159 (81, 78).

The tournament was the last of the fall campaign for Detroit as it will take the winter off to improve its game for the spring season. The full schedule will be released in the near future.
