Detroit is eying its first back-to-back wins since beating Loyola and UIC in their home gyms on Jan. 6 and 8, respectively.

LAST MEETING
Junior
Nick Minnerath notched his second straight 20-point night in leading the Detroit Titans to an 83-71 road win at Loyola at the Joseph J. Gentile Center in Horizon League play Jan. 6. Minnerath had a dozen first-half points and made all three of his triple tries in the game to give Detroit a win in its first league road contest. The junior transfer led a group of four Titans in double figures as
Ray McCallum added 16,
Chris Blake 15 and
Eli Holman with 10 for the road team. Holman etched his eighth double-double of the season as he chipped-in a game-high 14 rebounds, helping Detroit own the boards, 40-29.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Detroit's quick three-game homestand concludes Monday night when Cleveland State visits Calihan Hall. The Vikings currently sit atop the Horizon League and were 81-69 winners over Detroit in Cleveland back on Jan. 20. The Titans will then take to the road, playing four of their final five away from Calihan Hall.
AMONG THE NCAA'S BEST
Several Titans have their names appear among the NCAA Division I leaders in the Feb. 3 report. As the time of the release, junior
Eli Holman had 10 double-doubles, which ranked 21st. He also was 18th in rebounds per game (10.1).
LaMarcus Lowe was 18th in the NCAA with his 2.7 blocks per game clip.
Ray McCallum's 4.8 assists per game is 61st while
Nick Minnerath cracked the report with his .833 free-throw percentage (90th).
LEADING THE LEAGUE
Eli Holman leads the Horizon League in both offensive (3.5 rpg) and defensive (6.7 rpg) rebounds per game (10.1 total). He is also second in field goal percentage, connecting on 59.9 percent of his shots (103-of-172) and is 5th in blocks (1.6 bpg).
BRACKETBUSTER ANNOUNCED
The lone non-conference game on Detroit's schedule is the BracketBusters game set for Feb. 19. The ESPN event recently announced that the Titans would match-up with Drake University, a ninth-place Missouri Valley Conference school. Detroit has appeared in all nine BracketBusters, marking a 5-3 record in those contests. This season's game is just the third against a team not from the Mid-American Conference (MAC). As part of the agreement, all of the BracketBusters home teams will play a “return” game at the home facility of their opponent in November or December of the 2012-13 season.
