This is the third-straight year that the Titans and Colonials will meet, but the first in Detroit. Robert Morris won last year's meeting, 15-6, as well in 2009, 18-8.
Detroit enters the game at 1-6, but the Titans could easily have a few more wins under their belt as four of their six setbacks on the year have been by four goals or less, including their last two losses at Mount St. Mary's (12-8) and versus Lehigh (13-9). Freshman
Shayne Adams is still the top Titan scorer with 18 goals, but Detroit's offense has improved of late with junior
Scott Harris tallying a hat trick his last time out to push his total to eight, while freshman
Alex Maini is third on the squad with seven markers.
Sophomores
Jordan Houtby and
Jamie Hebden lead a Titan defensive unit that is 11th in the nation in caused turnovers (10.67). Houtby tops the team with 45 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers, while Hebden is second in both categories at 23 GB's and 14 caused TO's. Junior
Jason McDonald is third on UDM with 11 caused turnovers and sophomore
A.J. Levell has been strong in net with a 10.84 goals against average and 65 saves.
Robert Morris is coming off an 11-7 victory at Jacksonville on Wednesday and comes into the game at 2-3 on the year. RMU has also defeated Manhattan, 9-7, with its three losses at No. 3 North Carolina (14-11), at Hobart (9-8) and at Colgate (14-12). Trevor Moore leads the team in scoring with 13 goals and 18 points, while Patrick Smith has 11 goals and 12 points on the year.
