CHICAGO -- Looking to get back to its winning ways, the Detroit women's basketball team will look for a split in Chicago as the Titans battle longtime rival Loyola on Saturday at Gentile Arena. Tip-off is slated for 3:00 p.m. (EST).

This will be the 65th career meeting between the two Jesuit programs, the longest rivalry in the history of Titans women's basketball with UDM owning a decisive 44-20 advantage.

The red, white and blue nearly ran its winning streak to six games after leading for much of the first half and the first eight minutes of play at UIC on Thursday, but the Flames' offense caught fire to rally back and take the game, 66-59.
The Titans have still won five of their last six and six of their last nine and bring a 6-9 record, 2-1 in the Horizon League, into Saturday's contest.

Sophomore Senee Shearer led Detroit in scoring for the fifth time this season as well as the fifth time in the last six games with 15 at UIC and is averaging 9.0 points per game. Freshman Shareta Brown tops the team in scoring at 14.8 ppg., while senior Jalesa Jones in second in the HL with 4.1 assists per game.

Fans that can't make it to the game can follow all the action live on the Horizon League Network as well as with a live stats feed through CSTV's Gametracker. Followers of the Titans on Twitter will also get live updates throughout the game.

THE DETROIT-LOYOLA SERIES
Two Jesuit schools will battle it out as the Titans will meet the Ramblers for the 65th time - the most of any opponent in UDM history.

Detroit has won eight of the last nine and leads the overall series, 44-20. Last season, the two schools split with Loyola winning in overtime at Calihan Hall, 88-77, and the red, white and blue taking the game in Alumni Gym.

UDM is 18-12 all-time in the Windy City and has won three in a row on the road in the series.

ABOUT LOYOLA
Loyola has dropped two in a row and three of its last four games as it brings a 6-8, 1-2 HL mark into the game. The Ramblers had an 18-point lead against Wright State their last time out, but lost 64-62 as the Raiders ended the game on a 15-3 run.

The Ramblers started the year with wins over Chicago State, Northern Illinois and Southern Illinois. LU has played well in some tough setbacks losing to Eastern Michigan by eight, 63-55, at No. 22/21 DePaul, 70-65, and at Northwestern, 72-67.

Four players are in double figures in scoring for the Ramblers, with three in the top 15 in the Horizon League. Junior Patrice King leads the team in scoring and is sixth in the HL at 14.4 ppg. Freshman Simone Law is second at 12.8 ppg., while junior Monica Albano is third tallying 11.9 ppg.

JESUIT SPOTLIGHT
The Titan-Rambler match-up is part of the nationwide Jesuit Basketball Spotlight project, using Jesuit basketball to raise awareness of Jesuit education.

The Basketball Spotlight project highlights more than 90 games this season between men's and women's teams from the 28 Jesuit colleges and universities across the United States. Each of the 28 is dedicated to strong academics and teaching women and men to serve others and live a faith that does justice.

Jesuit, Catholic colleges and universities in the United States have more than 200,000 students currently and more than 1.7 million living alumni. The Jesuit educational mission began in Europe approximately 500 years ago.
