DETROIT -- The Detroit men's lacrosse team will once again be on the road as the Titans take on their first-ever BIG EAST opponent in Georgetown on Saturday. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m., at Multi-Sport Field.

There will be a free live stats feed through Gametracker as well as a live webcast, available for a small fee. Both of those links are located on top of this release.

The Titans (2-3) are coming off a 16-7 victory at Mercer last week. Sophomore Scott Drummond (Birmingham, MI/Seaholm) – the MAAC's Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week – led the team with five points on the strength of his first career hat trick. Eight other Titans netted goals in the game, including five with two apiece.

Tewaaraton Watch List member Joel Matthews (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) leads the team with 17 points on nine goals and a team-best eight assists. Sophomore Shayne Adams (St. Catharines, ON/Denis Morris) continues to lead the squad in goals with 13, while sophomore Alex Maini (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) is third on the team in scoring with 11 points (5G, 6A).

Senior Scott Harris (Saline, MI/Saline) has nine points on six goals and three assists, while the defense is led by junior LSM Jordan Houtby (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross), who tops the team with 13 caused turnovers and 26 ground balls

The Hoyas dropped their season opener to #7 Maryland, 16-11, last Thursday. Brian Casey had a team-high four points on three goals and an assist, while Zack Angel and C-Jay Engelke each had two goals apiece. Georgetown was selected to finish fourth in the conference's preseason poll, while Angel and junior attackmen Travis Comeau were tabbed to the BIG EAST Preseason First Team.

The game will be the third of five straight on the road for UDM as the Titans have yet to play a “true” home game this season. Detroit did host Michigan in front of 1,800 fans at Ultimate Soccer Arenas on Feb. 12, coming away with a 13-9 victory.
