LONG BEACH, Calif. (1/9/2013) -- TopDrawerSoccer.com announced its postseason Top 20 list for each conference and the University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team had six players among the 20 in the Horizon League.

Nora Abolins, Abby McCollum, Kaitlyn Quarrell, Alyssa Riley, Sarah Dzuris, and Rebekah Dornbos were all among the Top 20 on the list following the 2012 season. Abolins was the highest ranked at No. 2 followed by McCollum at No. 3. Quarrell was next at No. 5 while Riley was No. 7. Dzuris was in the No. 12 spot and Dornbos came in at No. 16.

Abolins was named the Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year after posting shutouts in five of seven league games. She was named to the All-Conference first team. She tied an all-time Titan single-season mark with nine shutouts in one season and set the school record for career shutouts picking up her 24th this season. She finished with 60 saves and a 0.55 goals against average.

McCollum was named to the All-Conference second team tying for the team lead in goals (four) and points (11). She recorded points in four straight games including three conference games against Wright State, Cleveland State, and in the season finale against Youngstown State.

Quarrell was named to the All-Great Lakes Region third team after being named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year and to the All-Conference first team following the 2012 campaign. Quarrell finished with four goals and 11 points to tie for the team lead with McCollum and added the game-winning goal against Youngstown State that secured the Titans at least the No. 2 seed in the Horizon League Tournament.

Riley was a steady midfielder all season for the Titans often shadowing the opposing team's top offensive player. She was the third Titan named to the All-Conference first team and was also on the All-Tournament team. She finished with four assists, third best in the HL, including helpers on a pair of game-winning goals at Green Bay and at Wright State. She was also fourth on the team in total shots on the year.

Dzuris earned conference honors for the first time in her four-year career being named to the All-Conference second team and the All-Tournament team. The midfielder turned defender this season helped the Titans allow just nine goals in 17 games as the Titans earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament for the second-straight year.

Dornbos helped the Titan backline as a senior and added an offensive flair recording two goals and an assist. One of her goals was a penalty kick, the seventh of her career, while all seven of her attempts were successful. She has been a stalwart on the defensive side of the ball for UDM the past four years .

Detroit earned a share of the Horizon League regular season title in 2012 finishing 9-6-1 overall and 5-2 in conference play falling to Wright State in Horizon League Semifinals.
