DETROIT (1/23/2014) -- For the fifth-straight year, the University of Detroit Mercy Strength & Conditioning Department will host a multitude of stationary bike riders during Eitel Dahm Motor Group's "Cardio for a Cause" beginning Feb. 26 at 8:00 p.m.

UDM student-athletes, coaches, staff, and faculty will all raise money with a portion of the proceeds set to go to the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation and also to support the Detroit Titan Strength and Conditioning Department.

Riding will start in the weight room in lower Calihan Hall on Wed. Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. Stationary bike riders will sign up to ride 10 minute blocks over the course of 24 hours. The final three hours of riding will take place on Dick Vitale Court at Calihan Hall and will end at halftime of the men's basketball game against Milwaukee on Feb. 27. Having the final three hours take place on the court will help generate more awareness of the program and will enable fans at the game to make a donation towards the cause.

Student-Athletes are especially encouraged to sign up and support both Titan Athletics and the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation.

Those interested in making a donation or sponsoring a student-athlete, coach, or other participant can PRINT THIS FORM OUT and mail it to Calihan Hall, 4001 West McNichols Rd, Detroit, MI  48221.

The Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation has a goal to make a significant and lasting, positive effect on children's health—both locally and around the world. They do this by working with experts at the DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan to identify healthcare programs and initiatives that will have the greatest impact on improving the health of young people and families and by partnering with other affiliated organizations.
