DETROIT (12/22/2014) -- For the third-straight week, a Titan is taking home a conference award as
Darianne Seward was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Monday.

Ellisha Crosby who were selected HL Players of the Week on Dec. 8 and Dec. 15, respectively. It is the first time this season that Seward has been honored by the league office.
The 5-4 Columbus, Ohio, native tallied 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in Detroit's two games last week against Delaware State and Western Michigan. She also shot over 50 percent from the field hitting 12-of-22 (54.5%) field goals.
She scored 16 points and totaled five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the victory over Delaware State and then tied her season high with 19 points and grabbed a season-best eight rebounds in the match-up with the Broncos.
Seward is currently second on the team and 12th in the Horizon League in scoring at 12.6 ppg., which is also second among HL freshman, and is seventh in free throw percentage (74.1%) and 11th in field goal percentage (43.1%).
The Titans will return to action tomorrow when the red, white and blue take on Cincinnati. Game time is set for Noon at Fifth Third Arena.
