Top-100 Freshman Women's Ranking

CULVER CITY, Calif. – University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer standout Claudia Eustaquio continues to receive postseason recognition for her outstanding play in 2015, earning a spot in the Top-100 Freshman by Top Drawer Soccer, the organization announced earlier this week.

In the women's freshman list by TDS, Eustaquio checks in at #91. She is the only Horizon League student-athlete to earn the recognition among both men's and women's national rankings.

The Mississauga, Ontario native was named the Horizon League's Freshman of the Year and was also honored with an All-Freshman Team selection by the league's coaches following her rookie campaign.

Eustaquio started in 14 of her 15 appearances for Detroit, including the final 12 matches, and recorded a 4-7-2 record with a 1.27 goals against average. Over the season, she made 53 saves and posted a 74.6 save percentage to go along with five shutouts.

Eustaquio's five shutouts and 0.33 shutouts per game were the third-best marks in the Horizon League in 2015. In addition, she ranked seventh in goals against average, saves and save percentage.
