DETROIT (8/15/2015) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team hosted its annual alumni game on a beautiful day Saturday at Titan Field. Fourteen alumni returned to face the current Titans team in a friendly match on UDM's campus.
The game was nip and tuck throughout as the 2015 Titans led 1-0 at halftime. Both teams tallied goals in the second half, with the current Detroit squad tallying the game-winning goal midway into the second frame.
Mike Lupenec, entering his 23rd year as head coach of the women's program, coached the current squad, while longtime assistant coach
Jamie Huff coached the alumni team.
UDM wants to thank all of the alumni for their support of the Detroit women's soccer program and for returning for the annual alumni game.
