NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (11/24/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team has made the trek to California for the Thanksgiving weekend, playing for the second time in five years at the CSUN Thanksgiving Classic. Detroit Mercy faces the host Matadors on Friday before either playing Delaware or in-state foe Michigan State on Saturday. Friday's game time is set for 10:30 p.m. ET and 7:30 p.m. locally.
The game against CSUN is set to be streamed live, while both games can be heard through live audio on the links below. Both games also have live statistics. Admission into each contest is $12, with parking for the games $8 at the Matadome.

It's the first of four meetings with Mid-American Conference schools for the Titans this season. Detroit Mercy also plays Eastern Michigan (Dec. 6), Western Michigan (Dec. 10) and Toledo (Dec. 21).
All-Time Series
Detroit Mercy and Cal State Northridge have never met in women's basketball, although the Titans have played in the CSUN Thanksgiving Classic before, in 2012-13. Redshirt-senior guard

Detroit Mercy has never met Delaware in women's basketball, either. The Titans are 7-20 all-time against the Spartans. Detroit Mercy is 2-0 against MSU on a neutral court.
Scouting The Opposition
Cal State Northridge is 2-2 on the young season having earned wins over Portland State (99-72) and Fresno State (61-57). CSUN is 1-1 at home this year. Channon Fluker leads the team in scoring (13.5 ppg) and rebounding (10.8 rpg). Hayley Tanabe also averages in double figures (10.8 ppg) for the Matadors. CSUN is averaging 70.2 points, while giving up 73.2 per game.
Delaware is 4-0 this season, earning three of its four wins by four points or less. The Blue Hens have played three of their four games at home. Nicole Enabosi leads the team at 12.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Sade Chatman leads the squad with 13 assists, while also averaging 12.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. The duo have combined for 31 free throws so far.
Michigan State is 4-1 having lost in its most recent game to Oregon, 88-55. Senior guard Tori Jankoska has led the Spartans in scoring in each game and averages 19.8 per contest. She has made 13 treys and is 24-for-28 from the free throw line. Jenna Allen (11.5 ppg) and Taya Reimer (11.4 ppg) also average in double figures for MSU, which holds its opponents to 58.4 points per game so far in 2016-17.
Moving On Up
Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds began the season 15th on the all-time scoring list and has passed four former Titans and is currently 11th all-time in scoring with 1,305 points. She also moved past Michelle James for fourth place in total assists (410), becoming the fourth player in school history to reach the 400-assist plateau. In her start against Bradley, Reynolds became the sixth player in school history to start in 100 career games.
Junior
Haleigh Ristovski is also moving up in the Titan record books, having moved into the top 10 in rebounds. She ranks eighth all-time with 640 caroms. Ristovski is also 11th in career 3-pointers made (119) and 11th in total blocks (72).
Titans Picked Second, Reynolds Earns Honor
Detroit Mercy received 253 votes to finish second to reigning league champion Green Bay, who earned 299 votes and received 29 of the 30 first-place tallies. Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds, a two-time All-League player, was named the Preseason Player of the Year, while junior forward
Brianne Cohen was named to the Preseason All-HL Second Team.
The selection of second in the preseason poll is the highest for the squad since the 2012-13 season, which Detroit Mercy was also picked second behind the Phoenix. The Titans finished last season fourth in the regular season standings.
On Tap
The Titans return home for a Wednesday, Nov. 30 game against George Mason. An 11 a.m. tip-off is set for the second annual Field Trip Day at Calihan Hall.
Detroit Mercy is back on the road next weekend, visiting Big Ten foe Minnesota for a Saturday afternoon contest in Minneapolis. The Titans are in the middle of a five of six away from home stretch to open the season.
