DETROIT (3/4/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team entertains Milwaukee in its regular-season finale on Saturday, hosting the Panthers for a 1 p.m. match-up at Calihan Hall. It's the final day of the regular season for all of the teams in the Horizon League. The game is streamed live on ESPN3 and televised on WADL TV-38 with
Denny Kapp calling all of the action.
The game is First Responder's Day on Dick Vitale Court as all first responders get into the game for
FREE. Detroit (14-14, 10-7 HL) is looking to lock down the No. 3 seed for the upcoming Horizon League Championship in its regular-season finale.
Detroit earned an 89-79 victory over the Panthers earlier on Jan. 28 in Milwaukee. Detroit had its best shooting day of the season against Milwaukee, hitting 57 percent of its shots and going 12-of-23 from beyond the arc (52.2 percent).

Titans Fall at Home to Green Bay, 74-58Sophomore
Nicole Urbanick scored a game-high 18 points and three Titans scored in double figures, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball fell to visiting Green Bay, 74-58, on Thursday night at Calihan Hall.
Sophomore forward
Brianne Cohen scored 10 of her 14 points in the second half and junior
Haleigh Ristovski notched her sixth double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The loss dropped Detroit to 14-14 overall and 10-7 in the Horizon League. Green Bay, the regular-season Horizon League champions, improved to 26-3 and 16-1 in league play.
The Titans hit nine triples -- six in the second half -- pulling closer to the all-time single-season record as a team. The Titans are just three 3-pointers shy of the single-season mark (221), set last year.
Horizon League ScenariosDetroit can earn the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Horizon League Championship with a victory on Saturday over Milwaukee and a Wright State loss to Youngstwon State. Green Bay and Milwaukee have clinched the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, respectively, while Detroit can finish anywhere from third to fifth in the final standings depending on the results Saturday. Youngstown State and Northern Kentucky are one game behind the Titans at 9-8, while Wright State is one game ahead at 11-6.
Scouting MilwaukeeThe Panthers (18-10) have secured their first winning season since 2007-08 and have clinched the No. 2 seed and a double-bye in the Horizon League Championship. Milwaukee most recently earned a 98-95 victory at Oakland. Jenny Lindner and Steph Kostowicz each tallied 32 points in the triumph over the Golden Grizzlies. The Panthers have won five straight contests and have an 8-5 road record this season.
Kostowicz and Sierra Ford-Washington lead the Panthers in scoring, averaging 13.8 and 13.7 points per game, respectively. Ford-Washington was named to co-Horizon League Player of the Week with
Rosanna Reynolds last week after averaging 25.0 points in two Milwaukee wins. Kostowicz ranks first with 8.9 rebounds per game, while Alexis Lindstrom has made 59 triples this season to lead Milwaukee. Ford-Washington has also sank 107 free throws this season, while making them at an 84 percent rate.
All-Time SeriesThe Titans hold the all-time series advantage with Milwaukee, 26-24, in 50 contests dating back to 1990. Detroit has a 12-10 record in game played at Calihan Hall and has won seven of the past 10 games with the Panthers. In the past 15 games, Detroit has an 11-4 mark.

Reynolds finished with 21 points and seven assists, while
Haleigh Ristovski set a career-high with eight assists in the contest. Five players scored in double figures as
Nicole Urbanick and
Brianne Cohen each tallied 17 points, while
Haleigh Ristovski and
Lola Ristovski each posted 10 points. The pair of sisters also shot a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, including 4-for-4 from downtown. Detroit had 23 assists in the contest. Sierra Ford-Washington led Milwaukee with 24 points.
