DETROIT (2/5/2017) -- Former University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball forward and All-Horizon League player
Paris Bass has inked a contract with the National Basketball Development League's (NBDL) Erie BayHawks.
The BayHawks are currently an affiliate of the Orlando Magic.
Bass originally signed to play overseas back in September, but returned home to work out for NBA teams.
He suited up for the Titans for two years earning Horizon League Freshman of the Year in 2015 and First Team All-Horizon League accolades in 2016.
Last season, he led the Titans in scoring (18.4), rebounding (8.0), blocks (1.4) and steals (1.4), finishing fourth in the HL in blocks, fifth in scoring and rebounding and tied for sixth in steals. He posted double figures in scoring in 19 of his 24 contests, including thirteen 20-point outings and seven double-doubles, which was tied for third in the HL in 20-point games and tied for seventh in double-doubles.
As a freshman, he averaged 12.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, ranking second on the team in scoring, first in rebounds, second in assists and first in blocked shots with 35.
He ended his career with 842 points, 375 rebounds, 111 assists, 71 steals and 68 blocks in just 56 career games.
The Titans will open a four-game homestand this Friday, Feb. 10, when they host Oakland in a #MetroSeries match-up at Calihan Hall at 7 p.m.
