DETROIT (4/25/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team closes out the 2017 regular season on Saturday afternoon at Central Michigan University for an ASUN Conference contest against the Chippewas. The opening draw is set for 12 p.m. from Mount Pleasant.
A live stream and live stats are available for the regular-season finale for both teams. The game is impactful in the ASUN Championship postseason picture with both teams needing a win and some help to clinch a spot in the 2017 ASUN Conference Championship.
Detroit Mercy is coming off a 2-0 weekend in which it scored 39 goals and allowed just five in both victories over Howard and Delaware State.
Titan News & Notes
• The Titans have a three-game win streak, earning the last two of those victories on the road.

Lexie Kinmond is second with 39 points (24 goals, 15 assists).

Morgan Girardi is 12th in the NCAA and first in the ASUN with 1.00 free-position goals per game (16 goals in 16 games).
• Girardi has a team-high 39 goals and is one of three Titans with 30 or more goals -- Kinmond (38 goals),
Kelsi Pritchard (32 goals).
• Pritchard's 32 goals are a career-high and his 40 points is also a career mark for the senior midfielder.

Allison McDonough leads the league with 163 saves, which also ranks No. 9 in the NCAA. She is 10th in the country with 10.19 saves per game.

Emma Mucci is tied-for-fourth in the ASUN with 60 draw controls, which is also No. 2 all-time in single-season history. She tied the school-record twice this year with 10 draw controls in a game (at Stetson, Howard).

Lauren Webley ranks in the top 10 in the conference in ground balls (43, T-7th) and caused turnovers (21, T-9th).
• The Titans lead the league with 52 free-position goals. Detroit Mercy also led the league last year with 61 FPG.
• Central Michigan and Detroit Mercy are tied for first in the conference with 163 total saves in goal.

Emma DeYoung scored her first collegiate goal at Howard and totaled two points (one goal, one assist).
• Kinmond and Pritchard both went over 100 points in their Titan careers earlier this season, while Mucci went past 100 career draw controls. Webley also went past 100 ground balls in her Detroit Mercy career last weekend at Howard.
• Kinmond's 27 assists is second all-time in single-season program history. Tessa Keuler's 33 assists to seasons ago is the program mark.
• Seven players have started every game this season -- Kinmond, Girardi, Pritchard,
Jordyn Beam, Mucci, Webley, McDonough.
Scouting Central Michigan
Like the Titans, the Chippewas (7-9, 4-5 ASUN) have won three-straight entering their regular-season finale on Saturday. Central Michigan earned an 11-10 overtime victory over Old Dominion at home before scoring 42 combined goals in wins over Delaware State and Howard. CMU is 3-5 at home this season and would clinch a spot in the ASUN Championship field with a win on Saturday.
Riley Huda leads the team with 57 points and ranks second in the ASUN with 37 assists. Jocelyne Lemay leads the Chippewas with 43 goals, surpassing her total from her freshman season. Shannon Doyle adds 32 goals, while Tyra Prince (23 goals, 15 assists) adds 38 points for CMU. Logan Halvorson leads the squad with 48 ground balls, 38 draw controls and 24 caused turnovers for Central Michigan.
In net, Hope Murray (10 starts) and Dominique Hamman (six starts) have split time with each playing roughly 50 percent of the time. Hamman has a 12.06 goals against average and 86 saves, while Murray is just behind with 77 saves and a 14.18 GAA. Hamman leads with a 46.4 save percentage.
All-Time Series
Detroit Mercy and Central Michigan have played one time previously, last season during the Chippewas' inaugural season of women's lacrosse. The Titans earned a 13-8 victory from Titan Field on March 30, 2016.
The Titans scored seven-straight goals in the contest to take a 9-3 lead and
Morgan Girardi scored the final two goals of the game in the last 1:45 to clinch the victory.
Kaitlyn Wandelt had five goals in the game, while Girardi added three goals and one assist. Detroit Mercy out-shot the Chippewas in the game, 30-13. The Titans went 8-for-11 on free-position shots.
