Titans Turned Away By Eastern Michigan

DETROIT (3/19/2026) -- Senior Alyssa Jarvis scored two goals and senior Libby Cuckler and freshman Alison Smiley added one as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team fell, 17-4, to state-rival Eastern Michigan on Thursday.

It was the Titans' first home game since the season opener against Butler on Feb. 6.

Jarvis also had four draw controls, while Cuckler pulled down three DC's and had two caused turnovers.

Redshirt freshman Emily Coyne started and made seven saves in net and picked up four ground balls.

Eastern Michigan (7-4, 2-0 MAC) got in front early with five goals in the first period.

The Titans (0-7, 0-2 MAC) got on the board in the third as Jarvis beat the keeper, and a free position marker from Smiley followed later in the quarter.

In the fourth, Jarvis attacked the net for her second, and Cuckler was able to find the back of the pipes midway through the period for her 50th career goal.

Redshirt freshman Ava Bandi and freshman Chloe Sheader each had a takeaway and a ground ball, while Sheader also had a draw.

Detroit Mercy will now head to Central Michigan next Saturday.
