DETROIT (1/3/2018) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will look to pick up its first conference win on national television as the Titans welcome Wright State into historic Calihan Hall on Friday, Dec. 5.
Game time is set for 9 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPNU with Joel Godett and Mark Adams on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on 910 AM Superstation with the Voice of the Titans

ALL-TIME MATCH-UP
- The Titans have dropped nine of their last 12 to Wright State as the Raiders now lead the all-time series, 29-26.Â
- Detroit Mercy is 15-10 all-time at home, but the two teams have split the last eight meetings in the Motor City.Â

CALIHAN HALL TURNS 65
- The 2017-18 season marks the 65th anniversary of historic Calihan Hall.
- The dedication of the University's Memorial Building, as it was known back then, took place May 25, 1952. The first basketball game was played Dec. 2 of that year when the U-D men beat Kalamazoo, 75-61.Â
- In 1977, the name was changed to Calihan Hall in honor of the Titans' first basketball All-American, the late Bob Calihan.
- On Dec. 5, 2011, the floor of Calihan Hall was dedicated to former coach Dick Vitale. Â

CALIHAN HALL TURNS 65

OPENING UP LCA
- Detroit Mercy opened up Joe Louis Arena with a game against Michigan in 1979 and just made history again on Dec. 16 by playing Michigan in the first-ever college basketball game at Little Caesars ArenaÂ
- The Titans and Wolverines opened Joe Louis Arena with the first-ever event for the facility on Dec. 12, 1979, in front of over 12,000 fans.
- The game was part of the Hitachi College Basketball Showcase that also saw Oakland face Michigan State and the event saw a LCA record 20, 695 fans attend.Â
TAKING ADVANTAGE
- Detroit Mercy has done a great job at the free throw line connecting on 76.0 percent, second in the HL and 31st in the country.
- Detroit Mercy has hit 80.0 percent or more at the line in seven games, including some great performances in 18-of-22 at Virginia Tech, 20-of-23 versus Seattle, 13-of-15 in the road win at Saint Louis, 12-of-14 versus Toledo and 17-of-20 against Western Michigan. Â
- Some of the top free throw shooters include Jermaine Jackson Jr. (94.9%, 37-of-39), Kameron Chatman (86.0%, 49-of-57), Â Josh McFolley (82.6%, 38-of-46) and Corey Allen (78.8%, 41-of-52).
- In fact, Jackson Jr. is second in the HL and ninth in the nation at the charity stripe. He had a streak of 17 made in a row before missing one against ETSU, but has now rebounded to hit his last 10 at the line.Â
HIGH POWERED OFFENSE
- The Titans currently rank first in the Horizon League and 32nd in the nation in scoring offense at 83.9 points per game.Â
- Detroit Mercy has scored at least 71 points in 13 games, including three 100+point efforts.Â
- Last season, the Titans hit 80 points 12 times and 90 on five occasions, tying for third in the HL in offense at 77.0 ppg., - 85th in the nation.Â

ONE STRONG CHATMAN
- Redshirt junior Kameron Chatman has been one of the most productive transfers in the NCAA this season.
- On the year, he has started all 15 games and had netted seven 20-point games and five double-doubles.Â
- Chatman leads the team and is:
- * 3rd in the HL in scoring at 18.3 ppg.
- * 1st in the HL in rebounding at 8.6 rpg.
- * 1st in the HL in 3-point shooting at 46.6%
- * 2nd in the HL in overall shooting at 48.7%
- He has started conference play with two-straight 20-point games netting 22 at Green Bay - along with 11 rebounds and a career-high five assists - and 20 at Milwaukee.Â
- His seven 20-point games on the year is tied for second in the HL - behind Oakland's Kendrick Nunn's nine - while his five double-doubles and double-digit rebounding performances is third in the conference.
JJJ FILLING UP THE STAT SHEET
- Rookie Jermaine Jackson Jr. posted stats all around as a true freshman on the road in his collegiate debut at Virginia Tech tallying 16 points with seven rebounds and three assists.Â
- The seven rebounds tied for the team lead, while his six defensive caroms led the team.Â
- He just tallied a season-high 25 points at Green Bay - where he was 8-of-14 from the field with a season-high seven 3-pointers - and has now scored in double digits in 10 of the 15 games on the seasonÂ
- Jackson Jr. is currently third on the team averaging 11.8 points to go with a team-best 3.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals.Â
- He also has 54 assists and just 32 turnovers for a 1.7 ratio, seventh in the HL.Â
- Jackson Jr. leads all league rookies in scoring, assists and made 3-pointers and is second in steals.Â
I SEE YOU CA
- Sophomore Corey Allen has been in double figures in 12 of his 14 games with three 20+ contests and a pair of 30+ games.Â
- He has also set a career high in rebounds with eight at Green Bay and tied his career best with five assists in a game this year.Â
- On the season, he is second on the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game - fifth in the HL - and ranks second on the team and fifth in the league in three-point shooting (40.8%) as well as third on the team and ninth in overall shooting (46.4%).Â
 WAY TO REEK
- Junior Tariiq Jones missed seven games with an ankle injury, but has come back strong in the last three averaging 10.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and shooting 59.0 percent (13-of-22).Â
- He had seven points and three rebounds against Murray State, a season-best 13 points and five boards at Green Bay and 12 points with five rebounds at Milwaukee.Â
- He started the year with nine points at Virginia Tech and 11 had versus UM-Dearborn before suffering his ankle injury in practice. Â
KAM'S THE MAN
- The Titans needed everyone's help to get the overtime victory over Houston Baptist on Nov. 19 and redshirt junior Kameron Chatman did his part posting his first career double-double with 22 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.
- At Saint Louis on Nov. 22, he posted 18 points and nine rebounds, but his biggest play was the game-winning shot with one second left.
- He tallied a career-high 31 points with 10 rebounds and three steals at Fort Wayne on Nov. 28, going a career-best 11-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from behind the arc.Â
BLOCK PARTY
- Detroit Mercy registered seven blocks for the second time this season at Green Bay.Â
- The main reason is senior Isaiah Jones, who swatted away three shots for the third-straight game and the fourth time this year.Â
- On the season, Jones ranks fifth in the league with 1.25 blocks per game and that is just in 7.7 minutes per game in playing time.Â
OUR ROYAL PRINCE
- Graduate senior Roschon Prince is starting to find his rhythm at Detroit Mercy as he posted his seventh career double-double - and first as a Titan - with a season-high 11 points and 10 rebounds at Milwaukee.Â
- He had nine points at Green Bay and five points and seven boards against Murray State.
JALEEL REACHES 1,000
- Senior Jaleel Hogan became the 41st Titan in school history to post 1,000 points as he reached that mark with a basket at Fort Wayne.
- Hogan enters today's game with 1,062 career points, which ranks 35th in school history just 13 behind Carl Pickett for 34th.Â
- He registered his first double-double of the season with a season-high 16 points and 10 rebounds against Western Michigan.
- Hogan is currently fifth on the team with 7.8 points per game, while shooting 60.8 percent from the field, fourth in the HL.Â
REACHING 100
- The Titans reached the 100-point mark for the third time this season with a 131-69 victory over Siena Heights on Nov. 25.Â
- The Titans also reached 100 in a 116-109 victory over Houston Baptist in overtime and a 105-82 win over UM-Dearborn.Â
- The 131 points are the fourth most in school history and the most since tallying a school record 135 against CCNY in 1979.Â
- The 116 points against HBU at the 2K Sports Classic Belmont Subregional broke Belmont's Curb Event Center record for most points.
- Detroit Mercy has now reached 100 points 94 times in its history and the three times in a season is the most since hitting 100 on three occasions during the 1979-80 campaign. Â
LET IT FLY
- Detroit Mercy set a school record hoisting up 43 three-point attempts against Houston Baptist on Nov. 19, nailing 12 of them.
- The previous record was 36 against Dayton in 1991.Â
- Against Siena Heights, Detroit Mercy was 17-of-28 from behind the arc, just one triple shy of tying the school record of 18 against Milwaukee on Feb. 26, 2000.Â
- The Titans have hit 10 or more 3-pointers in seven games this season and lead the Horizon League with 9.3 triples per game, 54th in the nation.Â
A LONG DAY
- Sophomore Cole Long made his first start of the season against ETSU and he made the most of it scoring a career-high 10 points and handing out a career-best four assists.
- He also grabbed three rebounds in 27 minutes of action.Â
PICKING YOUR POCKET
- Junior Josh McFolley is tied for fifth in the Horizon League with 1.53 steals per game.Â
- He has three games on the year with at least three steals, including tying his career high with five against Siena Heights.Â
- In his career, he has recorded a steal in 59 of his 76 career games, including 24 multi-steal contests and 13 with at least three takeaways.
- McFolley led the conference in steals per game (2.00) and total steals (62), ranking 26th and 35th in the NCAA, respectively, last season.
- His 120 career steals has him approaching top 10 status in school history.
MCFOLLEY LEADS THE WAY
- Junior Josh McFolley broke out with 14 points in the first half and finished with 22 in the road victory on Nov. 22.Â
- He totaled 15 points against Siena Heights connecting on three triples and tying his career high with five steals and posted his second 20-point game of the season with a team-high 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting with three 3-pointers against Toledo on Dec. 6.
- McFolley now has nine career 20-point games along with 135 career 3-pointers, just three away from 10th in school history.Â
