DETROIT, MI. (4/16/18) -- University of Detroit Mercy senior cross country and track and field runner Greg Ingle completed this year's Boston Marathon on Monday, April 16, 2018. 

Ingle is a senior from Mason, Mich. and a transfer from Lansing Community College, who will be graduating at the end of the month after completing two seasons at Detroit Mercy.

He runs the mile, 3000 meter and 5000 meter as a member of the track and field team for the red, white and blue, while also running the 8k and 10k as a member of the cross country team.

Joining Ingle at the Boston Marathon was former track and field runner Derek Gielarowski. 

Ingle earned a spot in the top 150, placing 148, with a time of 2:40.30. He held a consistent pace of 6:08 for the entire race. 

Gielarowski placed 1027, with a final time of 2:54.53, which meant his pace for the Marathon was 6:41 per mile.
