EVANSVILLE, Ind. (11/14/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team had three runners in the top 100 en route to its best finish since 2014 as the Titans ended the year at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.
The Titans were 21st with 534 points in the 10k race at Evansville. It was the best finish by UDM since earning 16th with 496 points in 2014, when Detroit Mercy also had three in the top 100.
Freshman
Colin Murray - who was Second Team All-Horizon League with an 8k freshman record and at the league meet - led the way with a time of 31:48 for 60th. It was the best second-best finish by a freshman in school history, trailing only Chris McPhee's 49th effort in 1997. It was also the best 10k time by a freshman in school history and seventh overall by a Titan.
Senior
Joshua Otten was 69th in 32:02 for his first career top 100 mark at the regionals. His senior season saw him earn third and First Team All-Horizon League honors, while just missing the school 8k record by one second.
Junior
Christopher Russelburg clocked a career-best 32:21 for 86th, which now stands 15th in Titan history, as he took more than a minute off his previous 10k time and went from 154th last season to the top 100.
Sophomore
Ryan Belanger registered a time of 33:11 for 134th, while sophomore
Caleb Wynn ran 34:31 for 185th.
Sophomore
Nicholas Yaquinto placed 197th in 35:26, and junior
Kenyon Popiel rounded out the Titan runners with a time of 35:36 for 198th.
