DETROIT (2/27/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team opens the final homestand of the regular season Thursday, welcoming league-leading Wright State to Calihan Hall for a 5 p.m. ET contest. The contest is the opener of a doubleheader with the Titan men's basketball team.
Admission is free for all faculty and staff by presenting their ID at the ticket window with Thursday's game being Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night in the second-to-last home game of the 2018-19 season. Titan fans who can't make the contest may also watch the game live on ESPN-Plus.

Last Time Out
Detroit Mercy fell 82-37 in its road finale on Saturday to host Green Bay from the Kress Events Center in Green Bay. Senior guard
Brittney Jackson and freshman guard
Jess Bicknell both scored eight points to lead the Titans.
Detroit Mercy led 7-4 early in the game behind a 3-pointer from
Paige Bellman and buckets from Bicknell and
Alex Burr. Green Bay rallied, however, to take a 15-10 lead after one and 35-18 halftime lead. Freshman guard
Jiera Shears added seven points and Burr also had six for the Titans.
Senior guard
Lola Ristovski had a team-high three assists, while junior
Zoey Oatis added to her career-high steals total with two against the Phoenix on Saturday.
Scouting Wright State
Wright State is currently No. 1 in the Horizon League with a 14-2 league mark entering the final weekend of the regular season. The Raiders can clinch the top seed for the tournament championship with a victory over Detroit Mercy on Thursday. WSU is 22-6 overall on the season and holds a 7-5 record in road games in 2018-19.
Individually, senior guard Mackenzie Taylor and junior Michal Miller lead the way in scoring at 11.9 and 11.8 points per game, respectively. Senior guard Emily Vogelpohl leads the squad in assists (82) and steals (51), while senior forward Symone Simmons leads the Horizon League in rebounding at 9.8 caroms per game. As a team, Wright State is the top scoring offense in the HL at 70.8 points per game and is also the top rebounding squad in the conference at 45.0 boards per game.
All-Time Series
The Titans hold a 28-27 series lead over Wright State in 55 career head-to-head meetings, which also includes a 14-12 mark in games played from Calihan Hall. WSU has won the last three contests, including a 78-59 game in Dayton earlier in 2018-19.
