NASHVILLE, Tenn. (4/9/2019) -- Junior Scott Sparks and Zack Tenerowicz tied for 19th place as the University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team concluded its regular season on Tuesday at the Big Blue Intercollegiate.

Detroit Mercy will now get ready for the Horizon League Championship in two weeks. 

The Titans are seventh with an 871 (291-290-290), tied for the 15th best 54-hole tournament in school history and the best since they tallied an 870 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in 2015. 

Sparks and Tenerowicz each carded a career-best 215 at the Par-71, 7,020-yard Hermitage Golf Club's President's Reserve course in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Sparks (69-72-74) started the event with a 2-under 69 and finished with a 3-over 74, playing his last 11 holes at 1-under.

Tenerowicz (72-73-70) was near flawless in his final round, tying his career low with a 70 and posting 15 pars and two birdies. 

Occhiuto shared 37th with a 220 (73-75-72) as he had three birdies in round three and freshman Brendan O'Rourke just missed a season-best by one stroke, tying for 41st with a 221 (77-70-74).

Sophomore Bryce Douglas shared 44th after recording a career-best 222 (72-77-73) as he began the event with a career-low 72

The Horizon League Championship will be back in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida at the Mission Inn Resort's Campeon Course from Apr. 21-23.

• Tenerowicz's 54-hole best was a 221 tallied three times, the last at the 2018 Jackrabbit Invitational
• Occhiuto's has tallied rounds in the 70's or 60's in 17 of his 21 rounds on the year
• O'Rourke's season-low was a 220 at the NKU Fall Collegiate Classic
• Douglas' previous career low was a 237 at the 2017 NKU Fall Collegiate Classic
