MILWAUKEE (2/15/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team plays the second of two games in Wisconsin this weekend on Sunday afternoon, visiting Horizon League foe Milwaukee for a 3 p.m. ET contest and 2 p.m. local time from the Klotsche Center. The game against the Panthers is slated for an ESPN-Plus broadcast.
The Titans (3-10 HL) are coming off a road setback at Green Bay on Friday, while the Panthers (10-14, 7-6 HL)Â are in the midst of a three-game winning streak entering Sunday's league contest.
On The Court:
- The Titans are 3-10 in Horizon League play and sit in ninth place entering Sunday's game with Milwaukee (7-6 HL), who are tied-for-fifth place.
- Freshman guard Sylare Starks leads all league freshmen in scoring at 10.3 points per game, which also ranks 17th in the conference. She has scored in double figures 15 times in her freshman campaign.
- Starks had a team-high 14 points at Green Bay and hit two 3-pointers -- the 13th time this season she has made multiple triples in a contest.
- Senior Zoey Oatis ranks third in the Horizon League in steals per game (1.7) and has two-straight seasons of 40-plus steals.
- Sophomore guard Jiera Shears scored a season-high 14 points in last Saturday's win and is averaging 6.7 points per game in her past seven, hitting 23-of-26 free throw's in that stretch (88 percent).
- Sophomore forward Maxine Moore is averaging 10.1 points per game in her past six games, scoring eight or more points in five of those six games.
- As a team, Detroit Mercy is shooting 72.5 percent from the free throw line in the past six games (74-for-102).
- Three Titan freshmen have earned Horizon League Freshman of the Week honors this season -- Sylare Starks (Nov. 25), Bridgid Fox (Dec. 16) and Markyia McCormick (Dec. 23).
- The Titans are 28-30 all-time against Milwaukee in 58 career meetings, which includes a 12-17 mark in games played in Milwaukee.
- Starks was the fastest Titan to 200 career points (20 games) since the 2014-15 season, when guard Darianne Seward reached the mark in 18 contests.
- Titan freshmen have scored 52-percent of the team's points this season and scored in double figures 32 times as a class.
- Head coach Bernard Scott is in his fifth season at the helm of the Titans and has led them to two top-four finishes and a Horizon League championship game in 2017.

- Milwaukee is riding a three-game win streak with wins over Wright State, Green Bay and Oakland during that stretch.
- The Panthers earned a 65-60 win over the Phoenix last weekend, before picking up a 74-67 triumph over the Golden Grizzlies on Friday.
- Milwaukee is 7-5 at home this season and 7-6 in the Horizon League.
- Brandi Bisping had a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds against Oakland and leads the team in scoring at 9.6 points per game. She is shooting 90.2 percent from the free throw line.
- Lizzie Odegard is second on the team in scoring at 8.7 ppg and averages a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game. Sydney Levy leads the team in 3-pointers made (47).
- Five Panthers average 7.3 points per game or better with none averaging in double figures in a balanced scoring attack.

Starks made two 3-pointers in the game -- the 13th time she's connected on multiple triples in a game this season. Detroit Mercy was 7-of-11 from the free throw line and 17-of-45 from the floor overall (37.8-percent) in the contest. The Titans made four triples, but were out-rebounded in the contest, 44-20.
