DETROIT (2/26/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer program and head coach
Nicholas Deren '99 has announced the signing of
Saeid Jannoun (Dearborn Heights, Mich. / Crestwood), who recently inked a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play with the Titans.
"Saeid brings a lot to the table for us," Deren said. "He is extremely quick and agile. He is just as quick with the ball as he is without. That is a great attribute to have especially when you can cut on a dime like he can. He also brings clinical finishing in front of goal. He can score in every way -- with his head off crosses, on through balls, 1-v-1 by dribbling and shooting from distance. You have to have all of these tools to be a successful forward in the Horizon League and he does."
With the signing of Jannoun, the Titan men's soccer program has 11 student-athletes set to join the team next summer prior to the 2020 school year. Jannoun is the eighth signing in the class from the state of Michigan and third local member of the signing class. More on Jannoun:
