DETROIT (2/4/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team hosts its annual Pink Game on Thursday, welcoming league-leading IUPUI to Calihan Hall for a 7 p.m. contest in Detroit. Proceeds from Thursday's game are set to go to Gilda's Club Metro Detroit, a longtime partner with Titan Athletics and their Pink Games.
As one of several Pink Game initiatives, the Titans are welcoming fans to donate a certain dollar amount per assist against the Jaguars with the money raised going to Gilda's Club. For more information, visit theÂ

The contest is set for an ESPN-Plus broadcast at 7 p.m. ET. It's the start of two-straight games at Calihan Hall this weekend, with Detroit Mercy also hosting UIC on Saturday in a 1 p.m. game.
On The Court:
- Sophomore forward Maxine Moore has scored in double figures in her past three games, averaging 13.7 points per game in that stretch, while shooting 64-percent from the floor.
- Freshman guard Annika Corcoran ranks seventh among all players in league games in assists per game (3.2).
- Freshman guard Sylare Starks leads all #HLWBB freshmen and the Titans in scoring at 10.0 points per game; She has scored in double figures a team-high 12 times.
- Senior Zoey Oatis ranks third in the Horizon League in steals per game (1.7) as well as second in total steals (36) for the Titans.
- The Titans have earned three Horizon League Freshman of the Week honors from three different players -- Sylare Starks (Nov. 25), Bridgid Fox (Dec. 16) and Markyia McCormick (Dec. 23). It's the first time in league history that three different players from the same team have earned the Freshman of the Week honor in the same season.
- The Titan freshmen class has combined for 54-percent of the Titan scoring in 2019-20 as well as 28Â double-figure scoring efforts.
- Starks was the fastest Titan to 200 career points (20 games) since the 2014-15 season, when Darianne Seward reached the mark in 18 contests.
- The Titans are one of the youngest teams in NCAA Division I with 10 underclassmen (five freshmen, five sophomores) and holds an average age of 19.3Â on its roster.
- Head coach Bernard Scott is in his fifth season at the helm of the Titans and has led them to two top-four finishes and a Horizon League championship game in 2017.
- The red, white and blue are 2-6 in Horizon League play so far this season with wins coming at UIC and at home against Cleveland State last week.
Scouting IUPUI:
- IUPUI is riding a 10-game win streak and holds the top mark in the Horizon League so far with a 10-1 record after the opening 11 conference contests.
- The Jaguars are 16-6 overall this season and own a 4-6 record in true road games in 2019-20.
- The Jaguars have won 10-straight games since losing their Horizon League opener to Youngstown State, 75-73, on Dec. 28.
- Macee Williams has won four of the last seven Horizon League Player of the Week honors and leads the squad in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (9.2 rpg). She is shooting a league-high 60.1 percent from the floor.
- Senior guard Holly Hoopingarner leads the Horizon League in assists (85) and assists per game (3.9).
- Hoopingarner (10.2 ppg) and Rachel McLimore (10.0 ppg) also average in double figures for the Jaguars.
Last Time Out
The Titans dropped a 65-60 road contest at Oakland on Saturday from the O'rena in Rochester. Detroit Mercy led for the majority of the game, leading 32-25 at the halftime break and 51-45 after three quarters. The two teams battled hard down the stretch, with the Titans pulling to within three points several times, but OU closed out the win on its home turf.

Maxine Moore (15 points),
Annika Corcoran (13 points) and
Zoey Oatis (12 points). Oatis nabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Detroit Mercy out-rebounded Oakland, 42-38, and shot well from the floor, sinking 42.9-percent of its field goal attempts and 5-of-12 (40 percent) from beyond the arc.

The NGWSD festivities begin at 10 a.m. from Calihan Hall and continue through the women's basketball game against the Flames.
