SPRINGBORO, Ohio (4/19/2021) -- University of Detroit Mercy freshman 
Alek Mauro was the low Titans as the red, white and blue concluded its regular season at the Wright State Invitational on Monday.
The Titans finished in 16th place with a 935 (304-313-318) at the par 71, 7,075-yard Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio. 
Freshman 
Alek Mauro led the team tying for 53rd with a 232 (75-79-78), while senior 
Scott Sparks shared 59th with a 234 (84-74-76). Mauro had 12 pars in round three and a team-best 33 in the event. Sparks knocked in 10 pars with a pair of birdies on the final 18. 
Junior 
James Hill tied for 68th with a 237 (74-82-81), senior 
Bryce Douglass took 75th with a 240 (79-78-83) and senior 
Drew Tucci shot a 244 (76-85-83) in sharing 78th. 
Tucci did post three birdies in the final round and was tied in the tournament for eighth on the course's par 5's with a -3, 4.67 average. 
Detroit Mercy will now get ready for the Horizon League Championship, set for April 25-27 at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
