DETROIT (4/3/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team wraps up the regular season on Monday, traveling to Cleveland, Ohio for a Horizon League match with Cleveland State. The contest against the Vikings is set for a 5 p.m. ET start from Krenzler Field on the campus of CSU.
Detroit Mercy (2-5-1, 2-5-1 HL) is coming off a 2-1 home setback on Tuesday to UIC on Senior Day from Titan Field. Cleveland State (5-4, 5-4 HL) is coming off a 3-0 victory over Youngstown State earlier this week.
Last Time Out
The Titans fell to UIC in their last game on Tuesday, dropping a 2-1 match to UIC in their home finale from Titan Field. Freshman
Nevada Larson scored her first collegiate goal in the second half of the match to tie the game, 1-1, before the Flames scored the game-winning goal later in the half to earn the victory. Larson's goal was scored off a free kick and was assisted by sophomore

Karsen Murray, her second assist in as many games for the Titans.
Detroit Mercy was out-shot in the match for just the second time this season, with the Flames holding a 17-11 edge over the Titans in the match. Freshman forward
Erica Toupin led the Titans in shots with four shots total, two of them on goal, while junior goalkeeper
Cece Muskovac had a season-high eight saves for the red, white and blue.

Horizon League Rankings
The Titans rank second in the Horizon League in shots per game (15.2), while also ranking fourth in the league in shots on goal per contest (6.5). Titan freshman forward
Erica Toupin ranks second in the HL in shots per game (3.4) and third in the conference in shots on goal per game (1.8).

Julie Ann Piechocki is one of eight players in the Horizon League with two game-winning goals this season. Freshman goalkeeper

First Collegiate Goals
Four Titans have scored their first college goals this season with freshman
Nevada Larson joining the group most recently in the last game against UIC. Freshman forward
Tia Jokic scored her first collegiate goal against Robert Morris, scoring in the 15th minute of the match. Freshman
Alexis McNeil scored her first collegiate goal at Green Bay on March 10, scoring in the second half on a header off a corner kick from classmate
Erica Toupin, who scored her first college goal at Wright State early in the season.
Scouting Cleveland State
The Vikings are 5-4 overall and in the Horizon League entering the regular-season finale on Monday. Cleveland State is 3-1 at home this season and has won each of the past two contests. The Vikings are averaging 2.0 goals per game this season and 14.7 shots per game. The Vikings are in sixth place in the HLÂ standings and still in the hunt for a top-four finish in the regular-season standings.
Sophomore forward Maddie Young leads the team with 12 points on four goals and four assists. Freshman Kathryn Ramicone has 11 points on four goals and three assists, while senior Elena Gutlove and junior Christina Trickett have each added three goals for CSU. In net, senior GK Stevie Holbrook has started eight of nine matches and has a 70.7% save percentage with 29 total saves.

The Titans are 10-6-2 in 18 all-time meetings with the Vikings, dating back to 2004. Each of the past two contests have been played in Cleveland, with the Titans falling in two, one-goal games against the Vikings. Detroit Mercy's last victory over Cleveland State came during the 2018 regular season, when the Titans won 1-0 over the Vikings in a game played from Titan Field.
