DETROIT (9/5/2021) -- Senior 
James Hill recorded his ninth career top-20 finish and the fifth in his last six collegiate tournaments as the University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team wrapped up the Island Resort Intercollegiate on Monday.
The Titans placed eighth with a 920 ((305-303-312) at the par 72, 7,375-yard Sage Run Golf Club in Harris, Michigan. 
Hill tied for 14th overall with a 220 (74-71-75) as he concluded the day on fire with 10-straight pars and back-to-back birdies. For the weekend, he tied for the team lead with 32 pars and eight birdies and also carded an eagle, and was in the top 10 in the field in par 3 (E, 3.00) and par 4 (+4, 4.13) scoring average.
Sophomore 
Alek Mauro shared 31st with a 226 (76-74-76) as ended round three with six birdies, including two straight to finish it off. He would also end the event tying a team-high with eight birdies. 
Senior 
Anthony Occhiuto tied for 48th with a 232 (78-75-79) as he tied for the team lead with 32 pars, while graduate senior 
Bryce Douglas totaled a 244 (79-83-82) to share 66th and his eight pars were tied for the team best. 
 The Titans will be back in action in two weeks as they compete in Valparaiso's Crusader Collegiate, Sept. 20-21.Â
