INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time in her career, Detroit Mercy women's soccer midfielder Julie Ann Piechocki has been named to the Horizon League Women's Soccer All-Academic Team announced by the league office.
 
Piechocki, a graduate senior from Macomb, Mich. and 2020 All-Academic Team selection, holds a perfect 4.00 GPA while working towards a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She has started in all 16 games this season, is tied for the team lead in goals (3), which is also tied for fourth in HL stats only, and ranks second on the team in points (7) after posting six points over a three-game span scoring goals in three consecutive games.
 
Piechocki was Named Nike® #HLWSOC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a goal for the third consecutive league match helping Detroit Mercy to a 2-0 win over Green Bay (10/1).
 
She tallied her first goal of the season which proved the game-winner in the Titans' 1-0 win over Youngstown State (9/22) and followed up scoring the Titan's lone goal in their 2-1 setback at Robert Morris (9/25). Her lone assist of the season came in a 2-1 home win over Canisius (8/28).
 
For her career, Piechocki is a four-year member of the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director's Honor Roll and a four-time member of the HL Fall and Spring Academic Honor Roll.
