DETROIT (11/8/2022) -- Graduate senior
Antoine Davis scored a game-high 28 points as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team took care of Rochester, 93-65, on Tuesday night on Dick Vitale Court in Calihan Hall.
It was the 78th career 20-point outing for Davis as he tied Danny Ainge (BYU, 1971-88) for third in NCAA history with 112 consecutive games in double figures, just three behind Chris Clemons (Campbell, 2015-2019) and Lionel Simmons (La Salle, 1987-90) for the NCAA record.
Davis was 8-of-20 from the field with four triples to go with a game-high nine assists. The four 3-pointers gave him 433 in his career for 10th in NCAA history and he now has 2,762 points, 21st in the NCAA record book.

Detroit Mercy led 22-13 when it went on a 9-2 spurt to more than double Rochester, 31-15, with 7:51 left. Phillips had two baskets inside and Anderson nailed a three for the 16-point advantage and the red, white and blue would lead by 11 at the break, 46-35.
In the second half, the Titans were 6-of-10 to start as they had a 62-49 lead at the 13:48 mark as Phillips nailed a 3-pointer. Rochester would cut the lead to nine on two occasions, the latest at 65-56 with 9:10 left, but the Titans pushed it to double figures for good after that, ending the contest on a 28-9 spurt.
Detroit Mercy shot 48.3% (28-of-58) and was 13-of-36 (36.1%) from behind the arc and 24-of-34 (70.6%) at the line. The Titans also outrebounded the Warriors, 42-27, and had 15 assists to just five turnovers.
