In the first half, Michigan State (7-5) set the tone defensively using a full-court press to jump out to a commanding 59-12 halftime lead and never looked back.
Detroit Mercy got the offense going in the third quarter scoring 19 points and ending up scoring 29 points in the second half despite the outcome being decided.
