Akyia Baker matched a career-best adding eight points off the bench with two assists and two rebounds as Detroit Mercy could not get the offense going at Clevland State falling 86-30 on Sunday afternoon in #HLWBB action on Sunday afternoon at the Wolstein Center.

Cleveland State (7-1, 2-0 HL) set the tone early jumping out with an 18-4 run by the first media timeout and took a 27-8 lead after the first quarter. Murua had six of the Detroit Mercy's (1-6, 0-2 HL) eight points.
The Vikings continued to pour it on in the second quarter outscoring the Titans 20-5 to take a commanding 47-13 lead at the half.
After trailing 53-15 in the third quarter, Detroit Mercy continued to fight going on a 13-0 run to trail 53-28 sparked by Baker who came off the bench scoring six points. The Vikings then respond with an 11-0 run of their own to close out the fame to take a 64-28 lead into the fourth.
CSU's run continued with a 9-0 spurt to open the fourth as they move ahead 73-28 en route to their seventh consecutive win and second conference win of the season.
Detroit Mercy resumes non-conference play at home against Miami Hamilton on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.
