Kara Erickson each recorded a hit as the Detroit Titans fell 6-0 to Appalachian State and 8-0 to host Presbyterian College to close out action at the PC Invitational.

Liz Murphy recorded three strikeouts against Appalachian State while junior
Olivia Warrington also posted three strikeouts against PC in the circle for the Titans.
Game 1 vs Appalachian State
• Chapman recorded the first hit for the Titans with a single of the middle in the first inning
• App State got on board first off a sacrifice fly in the 1st inning and added a second run off a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning
• The Mountaineers added four runs on five hits to move ahead 6-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning
• Mortensen posted Detroit Mercy's second hit of the game in the top of the 7th inning
• The Titans got the bases loaded after Mortensen's hit followed by two walks from junior
Renee Trotman and senior
Taryn Perun in the top of the seventh
• App State got out of the jam with a ground out followed by pinch-runner
Kara Wolfbauer being thrown out at the plate and another ground out to third base to end the game
Game 2 vs Presbyterian College
• PC plated an earned and an unearned run in the first inning for a 2-0 lead
• Erickson notched Detroit Mercy's first hit of the game with a single to left field in the second inning
• Tanguay had the second hit for the Titans with a double to center field
• The Blue Hose broke the game open with four runs on five hits in the third inning and added another run in the fourth
• PC added the game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth
The Titans will be back in action at the Elon Softball Cardinal Invite Mar. 5 - 6
