Chloe Spitzer had a solid outing in her first career start going the distance tossing 10.0 innings while allowing only one earned run with eight scattered hits and three walks. Junior

Taryn Peru each hit a home run to extend the game on two different occasions but it was not enough as Robert Morris outlasted Detroit Mercy 4-2 in 10 innings to take the Horizon League series.

Taylor Gauthier hit 3-for-5 with a double while junior
Jordan Hazel went 1-for-4.
Recap:
• The game was scoreless for the first four innings
• Robert Morris took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning as a runner reached on a fielding error and was driven in off a RBI triple
• Trotman belted her second home run of the season tying the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning
• After a scoreless seventh and eighth inning, the Colonials to a 2-1 lead off a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning
• The Titans once again extended the game in the bottom of the ninth as Peru hit her first home run of the season tying the game at 2-2
• Another fielder error proved to be costly as RMU got a runner on who in turn stole second to get into scoring position and scored off a RBI double in the top of the 10th inning. The Colonials added another unearned run off a single to take a 4-2 lead
• The Titans went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 10th to end the game
