Taylor Gauthier hit 2-for-4 with a run while junior
Renee Trotman went 1-for-3 with a RBI single as Detroit Mercy dropped a #HLSB doubleheader at IUPUI 8-0 and 11-2 on Sunday afternoon at the IUPUI Softball Complex.

Kara Wolfbauer drew two walks each as the Titans drew seven total walks in the nightcap but could not capitalize on bringing the base runners home.

Game 1:
• IUPUI got on board first with a two-run homer in the second inning
• The Jags added five more runs on a pair of RBI doubles in the 3rd inning
• IUPUI plated the game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning

Chloe Spitzer recorded three strikeouts as she picked up the loss in the cirlce in her second career start
Game 2:
• IUPUI opened scoring with a pair of runs of a RBI groundout and sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning
• Gauthier has a hit while the Titans have drawn five total walks. The Jags added two runs on a RBI double and another on a throwing error in the 2nd inning to go ahead 5-0
• IUPUI added another pair of runs in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly and fielder's choice in the fourth inning for a 7-0 lead
• Mortensen got the Titans on the board with a two-run double, scoring Gauthier and Tanguay in the fifth inning. Trotman followed with a RBI single to score Peru to cut into the deficit at 7-3
• The Jags respond in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run shot to increase lead to 9-3
• IUPUI ended the game with two runs off a RBI double and throwing error for an 11-3 win in six innings
• Wolfbauer drew two walks, as a team the Titans had seven total walks

Liz Murphy had two strikeouts in the losing effort in game two
