SPRINGBORO, Ohio (4/18/2022) -- The cold and windy conditions played havoc yesterday for the University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team and today, it was too much to play through as the final round of the Wright State Invitational was canceled on Monday.

As a result, the Titans ended the regular season taking 13th with a 648 (329-319) at the par-71, 6,754-yard Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio. 

Graduate senior Drew Tucci tied for 46th after totaling a 157 (76-81) as he had three birdies and nine pars in the first round and added nine more pars in the second on Sunday. 

Sophomore Alek Mauro shared 55th with a 159 (81-78) as he registered two birdies and seven pars in round one and three birdies and seven pars in round two. leading the red, white and blue with five total birdies. 

Senior Brendan O'Rourke ended in a tie for 69th with a 164 (85-79) and led the team with 19 pars in the first two rounds.

The Titans will now get ready for the Horizon League Championships, set for April 24-26 at the El Campeon Course at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida.
