DEXTER (9/2/22) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team began the 2022 season by traveling to Dexter, Michigan for the Michigan Open hosted by the University of Michigan.
The Titans saw eight members of the team run the Michigan Open men's 5k at Hudson Mills Metropark.
Detroit Mercy was led by
Oscar Hernandez, finishing 22nd overall with a time of 16:46.0. Hernandez was followed by
John Burke at 16:58.8 and
Connor Joyce ran a 17:06.0 time on the day.
Other Titan Finishers
Josiah Burr ran a 17:13.4 time to open his sophomore season while fellow sophomores
Isaiah Bonner and
Andrew Pries clocked times of 17:50.5 and 17:54.9 respectively.
Ryan Schwab (18:04.3) and
Alexander Petlichkoff (18:22.4) rounded out the Titans harriers on the day.
