INDIANAPOLIS – Detroit Mercy women's soccer defender Paige Myers was named to the #HLWSOC All-Academic Team as voted on by each member institution's Faculty Athletics Representative and announced by the league office.
 
Myers, a senior from Grand Rapids, Mich., holds a 3.93 GPA in Business Administration and is a Two-time Horizon League Honor Roll selection and three-time Detroit Mercy Athletic Director Honor Roll selection.
 
The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests or 20 percent of overall contests for pitchers. An Honorable Mention is awarded to student-athletes who received at least 25 percent of votes, but did not make the All-Academic team.
 
2023 Highlights:
• Named team captain seeing action in all 17 games with 16 starts
• Tied for third on the team with two assists which came against CMU and IUPUI from her defensive position.
• Helped the back-line record three shutouts on the season.
