Karsen Murray were named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic (CSC) Academic All-District® NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Team. This marks the second consecutive season six players have earned CSC academic honors.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the pitch and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Hailey Matthews
GPA: 3.63
Major: Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Tied for third on the team in goals (3), ranked third in assists (3) and fifth in points (9)
• Posted three points scoring the game-winning goal and assisting the first goal leading UDM to a 2-1 Metro Series win against arch-rival Oakland (10/25) snapping a six-game skid against the Golden Grizzlies and helping the Titans qualify for the #HLWSOC Championship for the first time since the 2018 season.
• Scored game-winning goal to lead Detroit Mercy to a 2-1 #HLWSOC opening win over YSU for her second goal of the season and added her second assist at RMU (9/30).
• Recorded three points from her defensive position assisting on the game-winning goal followed by scoring her first goal in a Detroit Mercy uniform helping the Titans earn their first win of the season with a 4-2 result at Chicago State.
• Anchored the backline which didn't allow a single shot in UDM's 6-0 shutout win over Concordia.
• Helped anchor the back-line notch three shutouts on the season.

• Scored first career goal in UDM's 3-1 setback at IUPUI.
• Tied for fourth on the team with two assists against CMU and Chicago State

• Two-time Horizon League Honor Roll selection and three-time Detroit Mercy Athletic Director Honor Roll selection.
• Ranked second on the team in goals (5) with goals against CMU (8/17), BGSU (8/31), Concordia (9/10), PFW (10/8) and CSU.
• Ranked third in points (10)
Paige Myers
GPA: 3.93
Major: Business Administration
• 2023 #HLWSOC All-Academic Team selection
• 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Team selection.
• Two-time Horizon League Honor Roll selection and three-time Detroit Mercy Athletic Director Honor Roll selection.
• Named team captain
• Also tied for fourth on the team with two assists against CMU and IUPUI from her defensive position.

Soraya Puerto-Khalil

• Ranked second on the team in assists (4) and posted one goal to tie for sixth on the team in points (6).
• Posted two assists in Detroit Mercy's 6-0 win vs Concordia and added two more assists in the Titans' 4-0 #HLMSOC win over PFW.
• Scored lone goal of the season in 4-2 win at Chicago State.
Erica Toupin
GPA: 3.79
Major: Biology
• 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Team selection.
• Two-time Horizon League Honor Roll selection and three-time Detroit Mercy Athletic Director Honor Roll selection.
• Posted two goals with an assist totaling five points from her defensive position
• Scored second goal of the season and assisted on game-winning goal for a total of three points in the Titans' first #HLMSOC win over YSU.
• Posted her first goal of the season against Morehead State (8/20).
