JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (4/12/2023) -- The Titans saw seven players find the back of the net, but it wasn't enough as the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team fell, 17-7, at #16/14 Jacksonville on Wednesday.

Chase Mahabir and freshmen
Drew Kessenich and
Zach Snider each had a goal and an assist. Seniors
Luke Majick and
Ivan Progar and sophomore
Billy Hart and
Nolan Graalman also scored a goal and Hart won 10 faceoffs, picking up four ground balls.
Sophomore
Jakob Hemme made 14 saves in net with four ground balls. Redshirt freshman
Eoghan Mullett had a caused turnover and a season-high seven ground balls, while junior
Noah Martin had a caused turnover and four GB's.
Jacksonville (10-2, 5-1 ASUN) started the game with five-straight goals before Kessenich ended that early in the second. Mahabir and Kessenich would beat the keeper in the second as the red, white and blue trailed 8-3 at the break.
Majick notched his goal with 2:38 in the fourth. Snider and Progar beat the keeper in the fourth and Hart won a faceoff and raced towards the goal, unleashing a shot for a score with under three minutes to go.
The Titans (2-8, 2-4 ASUN) were outshot just 51-45 and lost the battle of ground balls, 39-31.
Detroit Mercy will be back in action on Saturday as the Titans visit Air Force.
